It might not be the ‘smartest’ bet type, but there’s no doubting what the most famous wager is in modern sports betting. Through a combination of advertising and popular culture, no bet can touch the popularity of the accumulator.
As such, it’s no surprise that most bookies – newer and older alike – have an array of acca offers available. We’ve tested all the major acca bonus promotions currently available, and have brought you a selection of the very best in this article. You’ll also find explanations of acca-related terminology, and tips on how to get the best value out of these deals.

What is Accumulator Insurance?
Accumulator insurance is easily the most popular acca-related offer out there right now. It’s easy for both a bookie to implement, and a bettor to understand and use.
As you probably know, an accumulator is a multiples bet – usually with at least four selections – in which each individual selection must win for you to win the entire wager. They’re the definition of ‘high risk, high reward’, being difficult to win but delivering excellent returns when you do.
Acca insurance offers help to tip the chances in your favour. Normally, however good the rest of your acca is, if even one selection fails then the bet goes up in flames. Acca insurance, though, gives you some room for error. It will usually allow you to lose one leg of the multiples bet, but – if the rest of the selections win – to still claim your winnings.
That might not sound like much, but we assure you that it can make a massive difference. If you’ve only got four selections in your acca, for example, you’re effectively getting insured on 25% of your entire bet. Even with five selections, that’s still 20% of your bet covered. There’s nothing more frustrating than watching several of your picks come in, only to get incredibly unlucky on one and lose the whole thing; acca insurance offers go a long way towards removing this outcome from the equation.
What are Acca Enhanced Odds?
If insurance is the most popular acca-based offer, enhanced odds aren’t far behind. You’ll also find these on an extremely wide range of bookies, from both newer and more established brands.
Because they’re such tough bets to win, accumulators already deliver pretty attractive odds. Enhanced offers, though – often known as an ‘acca boost’ – pump these odds up even more. Even better, the size of this acca bonus will keep increasing depending on how many selections you have in your bet.
Many bookies will start with one percentage at four selections – 5%, for example – and take that all the way up to 50-100% for 10-15 selections. As with a regular accumulator, of course, it’s down to you to balance the risk and reward of adding more selections.
To understand exactly how acca bonus offers work, here’s a step-by-step example using the MansionBet Acca Boost:
- Acca Boost on MansionBet applies to a range of markets, but you pick football
- Acca Boost requires at least five selections, each at 1/5 or greater, and combined odds of 3/1
- You pick Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester, Liverpool and Wolves all to win in the Premier League
- Combined odds are 8/1. You place a £5 stake on the bet
- All five teams win!
- Normally, you would return £45 here. Because of Acca Boost, though, you get a 10% bonus on your winnings, good for a £4.50 boost
- Your total return ends up being £49.50, on a £5 stake. Not bad!
Acca Bonuses from Top Bookies
As noted, just about every major sportsbook should have at least one acca offer on their books, and many minor ones will too. Some are undoubtedly better than others though, and these are some of the best acca bonuses on the market right now.
Ladbrokes’ commitment to accumulator betting is exceptional. They even have an ‘Acca Track’ feature, which lets you edit your acca in-play, removing any legs that might be going the wrong way! In addition, Ladbrokes offer both major accumulator bonus types: insurance and a boost.
Ladbrokes Acca Insurance
The Ladbrokes Acca Insurance deal requires you to have at least five selections in your bet. In addition to regular match result picks, these can include both teams to score, over/under goals, and correct score markets. Minimum odds per selection are a super-low 1/10, and the minimum combined odds are only 3/1. If one leg of your acca lets you down, you’ll get your entire stake back as a free bet, to be used within seven days.
Ladbrokes Acca Boost
On this prestigious sportsbook, each account is awarded an Odds Boost token every single day. This token can be used on multiples too, effectively serving as the Ladbrokes Acca Boost promotion. It must be used on football, but this can actually be done either pre-match or in-play, and the token will lengthen the odds of each selection within your acca, boosting your overall potential winnings by up to £50 per token.
Paddy Power consistently have one of the best ranges of promotions going, so it’s no surprise that the Paddy Power acca insurance deal is also outstanding.
You only need four selections to qualify, which can include same-game multiples as well as different matchups being combined. The scope for creativity here really is unparalleled, with all sports except horse racing, and all bet types, being eligible. The acca must be made pre-match, but apart from that, there are very few restrictions indeed. The minimum odds are a nice, low 1/5, and there are no minimum total odds. If just one leg of your acca fails, your stake will be refunded as a free bet, up to £10, which must be used within seven days.
The Paddy Power acca insurance promotion is clearly one of, if not the best such offer on the market right now.
William Hill have remained a massive force in sports betting for a long time now, and consistently high quality promotions have played a big part in this. While there’s no acca insurance deal at the time of writing, the William Hill acca boost – called ‘Biggest Ever Bet Boost’ – more than makes up for this.
You need a mere three selections in your bet to qualify for the William Hill acca bonus, and there are no minimum odds restrictions whatsoever. All sports except horse and greyhound racing are eligible, as are pre-match and in-play markets, and there are no rules on which bet types you can use. In short, this is one of the most open-ended acca boosts you’ll find.
Once you’re happy with your bet, simply tap the ‘Bet Boost’ button to get your odds automatically increased. You can stick up to £20 down while remaining eligible for the boost, and – best of all – this offer can be triggered once per day, every day.
Bet365’s rise in the past couple of decades has been meteoric. It’s no coincidence that, whenever you visit their website, you’re likely to find a full selection of tasty offers available. Those currently include two highly competitive acca offers.
Bet365 Soccer Acca Bonus
As the dominant sports betting market, it’s unsurprising that football gets its own Bet365 acca bonus. Three selections are needed to qualify, and these can be full time result, both teams to score, or result/both teams to score. Your acca must be placed pre-match, and be on an eligible competition (a full list is always available on the promotion page). If it wins, you’ll get a bonus – in cash – with the size depending on the number of selections. A trebles gets you 5%, four picks get you 10%, all the way up to 70% for a 14+ selection acca, and the maximum bonus amount for this offer stands at a mighty £100,000.
Bet365 Tennis Acca Bonus
This bookie routinely offers one of the widest selections of tennis markets around, and their commitment to the sport is further strengthened by the Bet365 tennis acca bonus. You only need two selections to trigger the offer, and these can be match or set winner bets from essentially any major competition (including all Grand Slams and the Davis Cup). As with the football version, the size of the bonus you’re given for winning accas depends on the number of selections; starting at 5% for a doubles bet, growing to 10% for a trebles, and so on.
Betfair have one of the most varied approaches to gambling around, with both a betting exchange and sportsbook in place, each of which is excellent. They also usually offer an exciting selection of promotions too!
The Acca Edge Betfair deal is their version of an acca insurance deal, offering a full refund if one leg of your accumulator lets you down. It is extremely easy to use, as you’ll learn from any ‘Betfair Acca Edge Explained’ article, requiring the simple press of a button once your bet is locked in. You only need three selections to qualify, and they can be across literally any sport – crucially including horse racing – with each ways literally the only prohibited type. There are no minimum qualifying odds for the Betfair acca bonus, nor is there a maximum refund you can receive, and refunds are paid as cash rather than a free bet.
Acca Betting Terms
If you’re new to acca betting, some of the terminology which sportsbooks use might sound a little strange. Even if you’ve placed a football accumulator or two in your time, you might still come across the odd phrase which you don’t recognise.
Either way, it’s important to understand exactly what all the most common terms mean before you start using acca bonus offers. These are some of the most important definitions:
Minimum Stakes – the stake is simply how much money you place on a bet. If you’re sticking £5 on an acca, that’s a £5 stake. Some acca bonus offers will require a minimum stake for your bet to be eligible.
Minimum Odds – when it comes to acca betting, the majority of bookies will require you to satisfy minimum odds requirements before triggering an offer. These can be ‘per selection’, ‘cumulative odds’, or both. For example, a bookie might ask that each selection in your acca be at least 1/5, and the total odds be at least 3/1.
Number of Legs – a ‘leg’ is another term for a selection, with an accumulator consisting of multiple legs. All acca bonus offers will require a minimum number of legs, which will usually be three, four or five.
Markets – this will usually refer to a particular sport. If all betting markets are eligible, it means you can bet on any sport. Be aware, though, that some bookies might also refer to bet types – match result, over/under goals, and so on – as ‘markets’.
Max Bonus (%) – The most common way in which an acca bonus will be delivered. The bonus will be a percentage of your total winnings, which gets added on top after the bet wins. If you’re getting a 10% bonus on £10 winnings, for example, you’ll get an extra £1. The size of the bonus will depend on the number of legs in your bet, with more legs equalling a bigger bonus.
Max Bonus (£) – This is a cap which will usually be placed on the acca bonus. You can still exceed the cap in your actual winnings, but the bonus amount will only go up to this stated level. If the max bonus was £20, for example, then even if your dream football accumulator brought in £1,000… you’d still only get a £20 bonus.
Qualifying Bets and Periods – ‘Qualifying bets’ are wagers you must make to trigger the offer initially, following any other rules and restrictions that have been outlined. The ‘period’ will usually mean the amount of time in which you’re given to accomplish this. It can also, though, refer to the eligibility period of any free bets you’re given.
Acca Offers Terms & Conditions Explained
We always, always encourage people to read the T’s & C’s before getting involved in an offer, and it’s no different with acca betting promotions. Be sure to understand exactly what you need to do, before you start trying to grab any acca bonus.
These are some of the terms and conditions you’re most likely to come across:
This shouldn’t trouble you if the acca bonus is an ongoing promotion. If it’s a welcome offer, though, there will almost certainly be a minimum deposit. Make sure you put at least this amount into your account, abiding by any rules on eligible payment methods.
There are a few different possible wagering requirements you might face. These could include minimum stakes on your football betting accumulator, minimum odds (per selection or cumulative), marketing restrictions and more. You need to satisfy all of these to successfully get the offer.
There are two things to consider here. First is the validity period of the offer itself. You may have come across a tasty-looking offer page, but is the offer definitely still running? Second is the validity period of any free bets you get. Free bets are the main way you’ll be rewarded with an acca bonus, rather than cash. They will always come with a validity period, so be sure to use them before they expire!
You won’t usually encounter many restrictions on payment options here. The one you will definitely come across, though, is free bets. Almost every major sportsbook will not allow you to use a free bet for your qualifying wager when triggering the promotion.
How to Win an Accumulator Bet?
In order to actually get an acca bonus, of course, you first have to win your accumulator. Doing so is rarely easy, but – if you follow these top tips – you’ll greatly improve your chances
Find a balance
Accumulators are all about balancing risk and reward. Adding a few high-risk legs to your acca will massively increase your odds… but drastically lower your chances of getting any reward. The safer play is to build your acca betting around safer selections, then add one – maybe two – tougher selections to get those odds up.
Stick to what you know
There’s always a temptation, when building an acca, to start adding in selections from all over the place. Try to resist! Simply adding Juventus or Celtic to your acca each week seems safe… but if you know nothing about Serie A or the SPFL, you’re really flying blind. Sticking to the competitions and teams you know well is the safer play. If you are venturing outside your comfort zone, do plenty of research before making the bet.
Use acca insurance where possible
This is a no-brainer. Acca insurance is essentially a free and easy way to greatly increase your chances of winning an accumulator. As noted earlier, if you get insurance on just one leg of your four-fold, you’re already increasing your chances by a whopping 25%.
Mix bet types
Most people stick to standard match result bets with their acca betting. That’s fine… but be aware that it’s also pretty restrictive. Many bookies will allow you to mix and match bet types en route to winning an acca bonus, with over/under goals being a great additional market to look at.
They may be fun, but by their very nature, accumulators are tough bets to win. The potential rewards might be high, but that’s because the chances of actually triumphing are stacked against you!
Accumulator offers help to turn the tables in your favour, with the two main types – insurance and bonus – doing so in different ways. As noted, accas are all about balancing risk and reward. Insurance deals help to reduce the risk by allowing you to lose a leg of your acca, but still win the bet overall. Acca bonus promotions increase the reward, granting some potentially serious extra money on top of your normal winnings.
If you like to bet on accumulators anyway, there’s absolutely no reason not to use these offers. If you don’t place accas already… these promotions are a great way to start! Both will significantly aid your acca betting, and help you turn a profit in the long-term. And – if you use one of the excellent offers listed earlier – the betting requirements for triggering the promotions are extremely fair.
